Responsible Dog Ownership Day

Chesapeake VA Dog Fanciers
Association sponsored a “Responsible Dog Ownership Day,” Saturday, September
17, 2005 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Greenbrier Presbyterian Church, 1100 Greenbrier
Parkway in Chesapeake. This free event was to promote all aspects of responsible
dog ownership, including proper veterinary care, dog safety with children and
obedience training. All are essential to a happy and healthy bond between a dog
and its owner. Representatives from the
Chesapeake Humane Society, Portsmouth-Chesapeake Obedience Training Club, German
Shepherd Dog Club of Eastern Virginia plus
purebred rescue groups were in attendance.
